Teaching

In line with the Erasmus+ Programme objectives, the Jean Monnet Chair Healthy has aimed at deepening the teaching of EU studies at the University of Salerno by introducing in the official curricula of some of its faculties new and innovative courses open to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students. The involvement of students from PhD and specialization courses in the activities of the Chair has been strongly encouraged, in order to help young professionals to develop practical and specialized skills transferable to the future exercise of their professions, especially in the areas of health care, environmental protection, legal practice, civil engineering and food production.
The Summer Schools have offered intensive and specialistic courses focusing on current challenges at the intersection of health, the environment and human rights. The courses have offered in-depth analysis of relevant international legal instruments, EU law and policies and the relevant international and European case law, combining legal theory with practical application and case studies. Participants have come from all over Europe and Northern Africa and have included LLM students, graduates, PhD students, lawyers and officers from international organizations.
